Form date and unit converter
U.S. forms write dates month first, and ask for height in feet and inches and weight in pounds. Most of the world writes the day first and uses centimeters and kilograms. Mixing them up is a common mistake on immigration forms. Convert here before you fill in your form.

Tips for filling in forms
- Copy dates from your documents carefully. A birth certificate or passport from another country often writes the day first. 05/07/1990 means 5 July in many countries but May 7 in the U.S.
- Use the same dates everywhere. Dates that do not match across your forms and documents can lead to questions from USCIS.
- Read the form instructions for the exact format each field expects.
Gather the documents to send with your form using the document checklist.
